Milngavie Splashes out - May 14

Milngavie Splashes Out for our Fire Charities

Personnel at Milngavie Fire Station recently demonstrated their expertise in both fundraising and washing vehicles, at their recent charity car wash event. The Group 3 Crew raised the incredible sum of £1042.36, which they decided to split equally between SFRS Family Support Trust and the Fire Fighters Charity. Vice Chair, Paul Connelly said, “A big thank you to SC Harper, CC George Woodcock and all personnel involved at Milngavie, for their hard work and this fantastic fundraising effort”.

Amateur Radio Club April 14

Amateur Radio Club Donation

The Trustees of SFRS Family Support Trust were delighted to receive a £300 donation from Members of the former Strathclyde Fire and Rescue Amateur Radio Club. The donation came from the sale of radio equipment belonging to the late, Elvin Bailey, a founding member of the Club, topped up with a small donation from current Club members.

Kaths Dumfries Half Marathon Nov 13

Kath’s Dumfries Half Marathon Success

Congratulations and a  very special thanks to WM Kath McQueen, Bellshill Fire Station, who for the second year, has successfully completed the Dumfries Half Marathon and raised the terrific sum of £316 for FST.  Kath, an experienced runner, is pictured presenting her cheque to Vice Chair- Paul Connelly, sporting his “movember”.
