Regular Giving

As a Charity, we receive no regular, external funding other than financial support from SFRS personnel and public donations. Without charitable contributions we cannot continue to provide current services and fund future initiatives, to assist our Fire Service colleagues and their families.

Around 90% of our donations are received through the generosity of serving employees of Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. Without their support, the Family Support Trust would not exist and a valuable link to the Fire and Rescue members and their families would be lost.

As a serving or retired member of Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (and SFR and its predecessor organisations), your assistance is vital.  You can make a one off donation or provide us with much needed on-going support, by contributing just £1.25 per week, from your pay or Bank, through our regular giving scheme.

Supporting us could not be simpler. Just print off and complete the relevant form below:

  • SFRS new and current employees in all areas, who wish to begin making a regular donation - please download a form here
  • Retired colleagues or other individuals wishing to make a regular or one off donation - please download a form here.

By completing the Gift Aid section of the form, Family Support Trust can reclaim the tax on your donations from the Inland Revenue at the basic rate, up to the value of your annual tax contribution.  This is at no extra cost to you, and means our Charity receives an extra 20-25% from your donation.  So for example a regular donation of £5.45 per month can increase to £6.80 per month with Gift Aid.
